Definitely it is NOT configured for a door. The outlet hose must be connected to its panel and can only be used in a window. Your electrical bill would sky rocket, with little to no benefit. The window must be of the type that slides up and down. The portable units are are not at all efficient, due to their configuration. Even the hose is warm that exhausts air. And the exhaust hose is NOT insulated. At best they are just something to get by with. In any case, it positively cannot be used with or at a door of any kind.
