Try to set the unit at the coldest temperature. It is normal for the unit to turn off when it reaches the set temperature.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe someone can help if you restate your question to define what you mean by "off". Are you running in Cool or Auto mode? Does off mean loss of power to the unit, having to reset the plug or the same as pressing on/off on the remote? I have no suggestion there. If off means just ceasing to cool and the compressor going dormant, try being more aggressive with the thermostat setting. Use of timers is beyond my experience to help.
