• Great question. No, you don't need a receiver. One of the Insignia speakers has the wall outlet cord, two audio inputs (3.5MM or Red/White analog), and speaker wire outlet...it acts as the receiver. This speaker also has a USB port and Subwoofer connection. Then you either need to pair it by using Bluetooth with the 2nd (dumb) speaker OR by using speaker wire (much better volume and sound quality). SEE ATTACHED PHOTO
