The little Insignia's work just fine with a Sony Core Active 10" subwoofer I picked up from Best Buys as an open box item. Plugged the subwoofer into the connection provide on the back of the powered Insignia speaker. Got some great sounds playing Spotify and FLAC files from my laptop without any additional equipment. I need to play around with the crossover controls on the subwoofer and tailor my sound to where I want it. I think since the Insignias are powered speakers also it will take a while to get that right!
