Hello,

Thank you for your question. The Insignia 3.1 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer should be transported upright whenever possible. If it must be transported on its side, allow it to stand upright for several hours before plugging it in so the refrigerant and compressor oil can settle properly.

Should be transported vertically if possible. If not possible, set the unit vertically and allow at least 24 hours without power for the refrigerant to normalize before starting. Be aware that operating switches may be left in ON position from the factory, so the unit may try to start when it’s plugged in. Check and ensure the internal cabinet control is set to off BEFORE you plug it in.
