• A:Answer Regretfully they are plastic. I am having difficulty "snapping" them in, so they are just sitting on the top of the fridge itself. Mine is not on "display" for others, and it's easier to use the side to open it up. They do not screw in place, just a slide and snap type deal.

• A:Answer I’m not sure if that sort of thing is under a warranty so I don’t know if it would be free, but If you contact Insignia about it they might have replacement handle's? I haven’t had to do this but that’s what I would try and do.
