I would see if you can get it shipped for free. You do not want it tipped at all due to the compressor. I had mine delivered and it was upright from day one according to the driver. The nice delivery man even helped me unpack it and it's easy to move. The reason it needs to stay upright is the "oil" or "fluid" of the compressor needs to settle back. If tipped, etc. you need to wait 24 hrs (not sure on the small ones) until you can plug it in.

That being said, I'd highly recommend finding someone to help with a vehicle big enough to do curbside. Mine was shipped and passed thru at least 5 Fedex hubs on the way here. Needless to say, it arrived a week later than estimated and damaged - bottom slightly crushed, trim cracked, couple dents on the side of the door. The packaging is really insufficient to withstand that kind of handling. Just thin pieces of styrofoam on side and bottom.
