If you have an audio input on your computer, yes. You will just need an audio recorder program on your computer. It may sound grainy since you are moving tape audio to digital.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For our cassette tape conversion we use ION products easy one and to get a better read off te cassette as apposed to using a cassette player that may not be in greatest shape, 30 plus years old, but to covert and USB Cables do work to as they are designed to do and we use MAGIX Audio & Music lab to convert to any format. In the case of 8-Tracks We use cables that are gold coated connectors as gold conducts sound better . They have end connectors are connected to where you would normally connect the speakers to and the other end connects to your computer as headphone jack and you choose to have your computer to recognize this as input as opposed to output (headphone , earbuds) We use sound Forge Software to do this as it can take out hiss on tapes and cracks and pops from LP's Check us out that is what we do here at http://classicrock-radio.com/ to get old lost Albums

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To Ivan: Yes, music tapes. Cassettes. CD's are easy to transfer if you have a CD/DVD drive in your PC. But cassettes need a way to communicate with the PC. Thus my original question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tapes? What kind of tapes? Music? I still have a lot of my music favourites on CD so I play the CD, sending the content to the computer voice recorder and then send that content to a flash drive. You should be able to transfer whatever you have to your computer and then work from there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later."Some of the tapes I have are so old, no one sells them anymore, even as tapes. So I was looking for a way to digitize them so I don't lose them. Connected to my PC, would this cable allow me to copy my cassette tape audio to the PC as digital media?" You would need to use this cord to plug your tape deck into your PC and run a recording program as it plays to capture the songs as digital files. Very labor intensive. You would be better off searching for the songs/albums as digital files online and purchasing them there.
