• Storing your air conditioner: 1 Run the fan for 12 hours, then empty the drain tray. 2 Run your air conditioner in FAN mode for 12 hours in a warm room to dry it and prevent mold. 3 Turn off and unplug your air conditioner. 4 Clean and reinstall the air filter.
