“I have ATT U-Verse. I can get to it from the home screen with a few cursor moves but is it possible to have it just turn on to TV rather than the smart home screen?”

• This TV does NOT have the "Last Input" option available. Maybe it did before, but it does not now.

• Try this: Go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.
