You can if you have or are planning to subscribe to streaming services. There are a few free services out there but the content library tends to be older shows and movies. If you have an Amazon Prime Subscription there’s tons of great content available in Prime Video which is already included in your Prime membership, and if you like vlogs you can definitely watch YouTube content. Otherwise you need paid services like Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, etc. I’ve been cable free for 2 years and it’s great, just be careful you don’t subscribe to every streaming service (choose the ones you will use most) or you can end up spending just as much as cable.

As far as giving up cable, that depends on whether you can be satisfied by the free material that is offered. There are a lot of good movies that you can watch. You do have to have an internet connection though.
