Yes, the TV has the YouTube app.

Yes, you will see an app on your homepage called youtube.com. It's not a true app like the Netflix or Amazon Prime TV, rather, it redirects you right to the Youtube website. But it works exactly like using the app - in my home we use youtube.com on my Fire TV 4k pendant, and on my daughter's 32" Insignia Fire TV...EVERY DAY. No problems or bad user experience at all.
