The issue you are having I have seen before with other TVs and the Xfinity remote. I am sorry to tell you that the issue has no fix, and is with the remote not the TV, until Xfinity fixes the issue in their remote your going to have either live with it or use the original remote which is a voice remote due to this TV has Alexa built in to it. If you do not have the original remote you can contact the manufacturer the phone number should be on the data plate on the back of the TV its self. Or you can buy a generic voice remote at Best Buy or look at Good Will or another second hand store for the Xfinity Voice Remote it replace the original remote That might resolve the issue you are having or go into the settings and turn off Alexa because she maybe turning the TV back on as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First, make sure you have the latest firmware version, go Home > Settings > Device & Software > About > Check for System Update. Then, go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. Use the included voice remote to fully control your Fire TV Edition television. David M. - Insignia Support
