Am I able to stream movies from my galaxy to this tv null

No If it the same model number as the one I purchased, it is a basic TV. Best Buy does sell one very similar to the one I purchased but it is a "Smart TV" which I take to mean it supports internet type applications, like Netflix, ect. Call a Best Buy store with the model number and they should be able to tell you for certain. There are accessories that can plug into one of the HDMI IF your phone supports beaming or mirror cast.
