• I have not used it for printers but I have connected a jump drive and a portable CD/DVD disc player with it and it functioned fine.

• No, this device is for connecting multiple devices to a single computer. What you're looking for is called a print server. I don't know if Best Buy still carries those or not. Some routers have this function built in. Alternatively, many newer printers support a feature called Air Print which allows any device with a wireless connection to your network to print directly to the printer.
