A:AnswerIn the Menu, navigate over to Accessibility with the arrows on the remote. Then, navigate down to Closed Captioning and click on that. I have set mine to show CC when the sound is muted, but you can set it to show all the time if you like. It works fine on my network TV channels. If you are trying to watch a streaming show or DVD, you'll need to enable CC on the streaming stick or DVD player itself.
A:AnswerUnless you somehow got one with a factory defect, you must be missing something. Did you try it in a wall outlet, or in a plug-in strip? Test the wall outlet and/or strip by plugging something else that you already know works into it. I like to use a night light for this as it's easy to work with. If it doesn't work, try checking the fuse box to see if a breaker has tripped. Check the plug-in strip to see if the power switch is turned on. It's not always easy to tell on all models until you look closely.
Next, give the power cord of the TV a gentle tug. If it moves around inside the TV or feels like you can pull it in and out a bit, that means the connection inside the TV is damaged or defective. The one on my TV is quite solid.
Are you turning it on with the remote? If so, try a different set of batteries. If you tried the ones that came with the TV a year ago, they are probably dead.
If all else fails, take it to your nearest Best Buy and see if the guys at Geek Squad can figure it out.
A:AnswerI haven't mounted it on a wall, but I did mount mine on a table-top pedestal mount and it only took about an hour to figure out exactly how to do it following the instructions in the TV manual and the mount manual. The TV manual was nice enough to tell me what size of screws (diameter and length) was safe to screw into it. You don't want to screw in ones that are too long unless you put enough washers or a space on first, or you'll screw into the guts of the TV perhaps. The mount I bought (ONN's model for 32-60 inch TVs) fit perfectly on the back of this TV.
A:AnswerYes, it has three of them, one being an ARC connection which is good for attaching soundbar to enable your tv's remote to operate the soundbar as an example.
