“Will this work as a direct connect from modem to a MacBook Pro (from 2015)? I already purchased an ethernet cable and a USB 3.0 connector and it remains saying "not connected". Would a direct solve this?”

• This Ethernet cable will plug into any device or network port which fits an Ethernet cable. This Ethernet cable will not fit inside a USB slot, as it is an Ethernet cable. If your MacBook has an Ethernet port, I recommend purchasing this Ethernet cable. If your MacBook does not have an Ethernet port, do not purchase this or any other Ethernet cable, as Ethernet cables are only compatible with Ethernet ports.

• If you can hook up you Mac to the Modem directly using a Ether cable. it should be able to read it. unless your security setting are not allowing it
