“I am connecting this TV to directv. Is there a setting to have the TV automatically display the DirecTV picture when powering the TV on? I hate to have to toggle or select inputs when powering on. Looking for DirecTV picture to display on tv.”

Not directly but sort of. Go to Settings > Display and Sounds > Power On and select "last input".
