• The front vent can be positioned to blow upwards. use the swing mode once the vent is in the up position press swing again and it will lock it would never the up position.

• They are closed when the unit is off, and open when turned on. There is a "Swing" button which moves the vents up and down automatically. You can wait until the vents are pointed up and turn off "Swing" and they will stay pointed upwards.
