While this machine is larger than I would have liked, it can put out some serious cold air. When on high, it even cools the furthest reaches of our apartment. We got a chance to see it in action when our temps went unusually high. Our Washington temps have varied a lot so I like having the fan feature which makes it nice for normal days. I like the remote feature and the easy to see temperature reading. I rated it only 4 stars because its louder and larger than I would have liked. I have limited space in my livingroom. Beyond that, it does get very cool very quick! Important on those 90++ days.

I live in Alaska where there is no a/c in the homes, it’s usually not necessary. This year my part of Alaska has been having record heat of 90+ degrees. It’s never been this hot before. With our 20 hours of sunshine and the nights never actually get dark, we had very little relief from the sun. My house was an oven. Miserable. A/c isn’t normally available to by here. Also shipping to Alaska can be insanely expensive. Best Buy got the unit here in about a week (which is actually rather fast for large items) and the shipping was free. The unit works great. It’s loud but I guess that’s not uncommon with a/c units. It works best at keeping the room cool rather than cooling down an already hot room, but the room size has a big part in that. It’s easy to use and I like the oscillating louvers. I also like the temperature sensor readout. We are very happy with this unit.

We bought this to use at a vacation house that we spend very little time at. It's a little undersized for the space (we use it for about 800 square feet of space in the house), but the space receives plenty of sun through large windows, and it does a very good job of taking the edge off and making it comfortable, and reducing the humidity levels. And if we use it for just one room, it does a fine job of making a 200 square-foot room cold in a matter of minutes. We would have gone for a permanent AC system if we had a need for it more than a handful of times a year, but it's nice to have and easy to set up. The only criticism I have is that the plastic window insert is a little weak and has frayed and cracked, although not at the point where you connect the exhaust hose. The remote is intuitive and very easy to use. The unit can be a little bit loud but that is to be expected. kudos to Best Buy, I originally ordered an open box model, but it was left on the dock overnight when they were going to send it, and the manager of that store decided to send me a brand new unit because they couldn't verify that the open box unit may not have been tampered with ( a very unlikely scenario, but I appreciate their concern and customer service) overnight when it was left on the dock by the shipping company. This is yet another reason why I buy so many electronics from Best Buy as opposed to other stores.

We have had this unit for a year. We use it in our living room/kitchen/dining area. That part of the house gets hot during the summer and the spaces are pretty open to one another—more than 550 sq ft. It holds up great as long as I turn the unit on before it gets too hot outside. I set the air conditioner between 68-70 during the night. When it’s 85+ outside, I set it to a lower temp. The temp on the unit always matches the temp on my thermostat so I know it’s working properly. I also have a couple of Vornado air circulators that I run along with it. I have turned the unit on when it’s already hot inside the house and have found that opening a window and turning on fans to get the hot air out helps to cool the room down faster than if I were to just turn the unit on. It’s a little loud, but it becomes white noise after awhile. We also own a smaller BTU one for our master bedroom and it keeps our room nice and cool. In the summer when it’s continually going to be hot, we don’t turn the units off. It stays on day and night.

It’s big, it’s relatively heavy but on wheels (but if carrying up a flight of stairs be forewarned). It cools down my rather large bedroom very well, the remote control is fabulous since it does cool so well many times at 3am I’m shivering and need to turn to down, or off. I like the white, it blends in and looks clean. My brother calls it r2d2 probably due to the shape. I like these so much this is my 4th of this style (have both sizes) and 1 of the newer style. I recommend and already have to family and friends. I bought mine on sale in July 2019.

I got this unit at a great discount, $150 off regular price. Not sure if it's worth it at full price, but absolutely at the price I paid. The unit works extremely well, and can handle an area at least as large as stated, if not more. The moving louvers make a big difference on the on the air flow. I would have given this 5 stars, but not for one thing: the draining. A drain hose is not provided, and the instructions on what to get are lacking. I had to figure out on my own that I needed a 1/2" INNER diameter hose to fit on the drain plug, plus a hose clamp to keep it affixed. These items, are cheap; they should have simply come with the unit.

The a/c unit has a remote control. It has many features including louvers which can be set to go up and down while the air is blowing out. It is probably a little loud on the highest fan setting but that is probably to be expected.

Well First I had it shipped i wanted to pick it up but i knew it was heavy so free shipping why not, well I should of stuck with going to the store like I usually do so I can see the condition of my purchase, The ups guy rung my bell then went to get the air conditioner dragging this beat up ripped box from across the street then was going to leave it on my curb And I had to ask him to help me get it to my door I live on the 1st floor so now I get it in from Experience I should have just told him to take it back but I took it in Maybe everything is just fine on the inside so now when I had my son open it The hose look beat up and used And the plastic looked like it was a about to rip and the part that goes in the window the tray that you connect the hose to is actually cracked so I'm not happy with this at all,,weirdly i was At Best Buy this weekend doing some shopping and I saw a guy dragging his beat up box to coustmer service guess he had a problem to. As far as how it works it's Supposed to handle a Room up to 550 ft² That is not accurate not only did I have it in a Room which is not as big as that And it does not keep the Room cold as soon and you turn it off you will feel the heat in a Room at least keep the Room cool you will be cool only if you keep the air condition of running and sitting next to it. Add is quite annoying that the whole skin separate easily from the base attachments then you have to travel twist the holes back in a piece of thin plastic that the rim is flimsy And doesn't stay connected..

My fiancé and I have been trying to look for a portable AC unit. We’ve found a few that were the same price as this one but the reviews were horrible. I got on my Best Buy app, and searched for portable AC unit and this one was the one I’ve been searching for! At first it was loud but now you can hardly tell it’s there. The air feels AMAZING! This is the best portable AC unit yet! Would def recommend to anyone & everyone.

Bought this unit after suffering through an extremely hot Memorial Day weekend in a my new studio apartment, approx 468 sq ft. During the last heatwave with heat indexes of over 100 for 3 days in a row, it kept my apartment comfortable. Installation was very easy, it does come with the piece to vent the unit outside, but you do need to get either a piece of tubing or a siphon to be able to drain water from the unit itself. Noise level is about the same as from a window unit.

Honestly, at first I was worried about the brand name since it is a generic brand for Best Buy BUT it actually isn't too bad! It really cools down my living room and kitchen. It is also so much easier to set up! My younger sisters can set up on their own so it's not at all complicated. The only thing tho, I don't know if I was given the wrong screw or something but I feel like my exhaust vent is a tiny bit crooked. But that is a very minuscule problem. It does the job so I'm happy and so are my sisters.

This unit puts out a large volume of cold air and effectively cools most of our admittedly small house. The sound level is noticeable, but not obtrusive. Additionally, the installation was easy, and the controls are intuitive.

I ordered this online when it was on sale for a great price. I'm glad I ordered it when I did because I went online to buy a second one the next day and it was already sold out. I picked it up from the store and they put it in my vehicle for me. When I got home I brought it inside and fought the urge to install it, plug it in and turn it on for 24 hours because it was 98° outside but I didn't want to risk that it wasn't upright at all times during shipping to my local store. The following evening I got it set up very quickly out of the box and it cooled down my livingroom almost immediately. It works great, I have no complaints or problems with it at all. Don't hesitate to buy this, and if it's on sale buy two.

The unit is pretty big and heavy making moving it a bit of a challenge. It does a great job cooling a 200 sq ft/8ft high area quickly from 85° down to 65°. Efficiency seems pretty good as well.

I did check this product out before buying via google search and reviews. Well, they were pretty accurate as so far this air conditioner keeps our house cool, even when its 98 degrees outside. The only negative is it is a bit noisey, but actually when you are talking or watching televion you do not notice it. I have had this product for about a month.

Small footprint and the settings are all laid out. Only caveat is the flexible hose tends to bind since it is an accordion styled tubing. It can sometimes be a bit loud, maybe slightly more than a window mounted A/C, but since everything is internal to the home it is logical to have a bit more noise.

Have used this unit for about 1 month now during some really hot humid days. Love the timer so I can set it for 2 hours and and will shut off which reminds me to empty the water. We have it draining into a pail since we are using during renovations and can move t around. Cools the living room and kitchen really well and filters into the other rooms slightly which is great. 900 or so sq ft house. Great price for a great unit. Very happy with purchase so far.
