“Is there some sort of coating on the control panel? There are a couple of spots that look like it has torn saran-wrap type coating on it, maybe to protect the black plastic. I don't know if it should peel off completely.”

• I pealed off the plastic covering on the control panel. It's the same type of plastic wrap found on new TVs or computer screens.

• Yes, there is a protective plastic film over the control panel. Just peel it off.
