“my 65” Sharp tv has no output jack for use with headphones to plug into. Previous tv was able to plug in headphone Jack. Can this be used to connect audio out from tv to headphones? TV has red, white, & yellow audio outputs. Do I need adapter?”

If your headphones have a 3.5mm female input, then yes. The 3.5mm plug will go into the headphones, red to red and white to white.
