• Yes. It should work fine. Just remember, the DVI connector only passes video signal through. No audio. You will need to use the speaker/headphone out on the computer for audio, or get a HDMI audio extractor.

• It should work fine with the DVI port on your monitor. It will not connect to a VGA port. In fact, I have my Alienware Alpha connected to a DVI-only monitor with a similar cable. It works great.

• My new all in one Dell only had HDMI and I used the converter cable from DVI to HDMI and it was perfect. I had no doubt up front, and I was right.
