It is always a good idea to lubricate the blades using the special lubricant sheets sold at Staples.

The small pamplet that came in the box with the shredder does NOT contain any information about oiling this product. There is no information about oiling on the shredder itself or the box anywhere? So who knows? I guess maybe I will try using the oiled paper as some people have suggested.
