“Can the xfinity app be installed directly on this TV? We have a ROKU TV that we were able to put the Xfinity app on and therefore do not need a cable box. I am hoping this is the same set up. Thank you!”

You can hook up a Roku device into one of the HDMI inputs on this TV.
