A:Answer I used our TV to access local broadcast channels for a few months before we were able to get access to rural internet. It worked fine, however you will need internet access for the initial setup and registration of the TV since it downloads the latest updates. If you have a good mobile signal and a flexible data plan you might can do setup with a hotspot (note that hotspot will take a while for all downloads), or you might want to just do setup somewhere that you have fast internet access before moving the TV to your cabin. The TV provides access to broadcast channels and works fine when hooked up to an antenna even without internet. The platform does have a helpful channel guide that requires internet to display current programming. I would just connect to hotspot briefly once or twice a day to refresh the channel guide and that worked out great, but again it’s not required.
