• Try the Power On feature, when enabled, your TV turns on displaying the last used input: go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.

• Yes this can be done and is what mine does when it turns on. It starts with the amazon interface and then automatically switches to HDMI 1, which is my cable box.
