We recommend using the included remote to control your TV. Try the Power On feature, when enabled, your TV turns on displaying the last used input: go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to program my Directv remote through the Directv settings menu. However, I was unable to control the volume with my soundbar (Vizio). The Directv remote did control the TV speakers when I disconnected the sound bar. I gave up on the soundbar but I noticed instructions said to connect sound bar while the TV was unplugged and I don't think I did that so you might try connecting sound bar cables and turning it on before you plug in the new TV.
