It draws 1.5A at operating state, so around 165 watts when compressor is running. Not much.

But you can't divide the yearly usage and do the math to determine how many watts it draws. That's because it's not always running, so dividing the yearly usage gives you a nonsensical number. There's no freezer on earth that draws just 6 watts. It's got to be at least a couple hundred watts. I'm surprised Insignia doesn't share this info.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.my electrician told me it consumes very little wattage - he also said it does not need a dedicated outlet as it is minimal consumption. It works pefectly, I have yet to hear a sound of the motor working but the temperature (which I set at lower than medium) keeps everything well frozen! So far the ice build-up is minimal. It is a beautiful unit and it is very easy to organize frozen products as it is an upright freezer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The wattage draw information is not specified in the owners manual, however, the Insignia website states that the annual (estimated) wattage use is 331Kw (kilowatts)/year. Doing the math, that would be .91Kw/day or .04Kw/hour or .000666Kw/minute or 6.6 watts per minute.
