A:AnswerHi, Jerry.
This unit can definitely be laid down, however, it would need to be left top rest for at least 24 hrs prior to plug it to the electricity, once you install it.

A:AnswerMaybe twice a year, take out the food and put it into a cooler. Unplug the freezer. Put a pan of boiling water on the bottom, close the door for around 30 minutes to loosen the ice, then open the freezer and most of the ice should be loose enough to wipe it out. Put some old towels on the floor around the front of the freezer to soak up the melted ice DO NOT PICK AT THE ICE WITH ANY SHARP KNIFE OR TOOL TO LOOSEN IT UP. Years ago, I did that once and it punctured the wall of the freezer and it was beyond repair. Just wait for the hot water to melt it.
A:AnswerI thought the same thing, but it's just to show size and clearance of different items inside the freezer. More for a visual representation than anything else
A:AnswerYes, I put a 24 pound turkey in the freezer last weekend without having to move any shelves. I have owned the freezer since September and it’s smaller, upright size holds everything that I want it to. We are a family of two.
A:AnswerHowdy Ahmad,
There are few things I did before adding food. 1)Test the seal to ensure a tight fit by sliding a piece of paper between the magnet an frame while the door is closed. 2) I keep my freezer thermostat setting around 6 1/2 just enough to keep my food frozen solid. 3)rub a light coat of Vaseline on the magnet and frame which creats a great seal. I do this to all my Refrigerators, Freezers, Cigar Humidors etc...
A:AnswerSix inches on all sides. This is a great freezer for my garage, just the right size for extra food storage. Also, the manual says to never store anything on TOP of the freezer (on the outside). And the freezer must be plugged directly into a dedicated outlet -- nothing else plugged into the same outlet -- and do not use an extension cord. That might require some people to have an electrician install the proper wiring for it if there's not a nearby dedicated outlet available already.
A:AnswerYes, and no... there's one or two small (tiny actually, less than one inch diameter) fixed wheels on the front end that make pushing it in a straight line somewhat easier, but it's not free-wheeling casters. The back side has no wheels.

A:AnswerWorthless, do not buy Insigina products. Both Best Buy and Insigina will point you to one another for days (at the very least) with no resolution on fixing any issues that might arise in the few days after you purchase your new appliance.
A:AnswerI have this one. Great size. Never could find a small frost-free one but I've manually defrosted freezers with a hair dryer in about 10 minutes tops. When a chunk starts to come loose, I just pick it up and throw it in a bucket or sink. Dry with a towel and put the food right back in. The walls don't really warm up very much this way. BTW, manual defrost doesn't dehydrate your frozen foods so they'll last longer.
