QuestionGlass shelve dimensions are too narrow, barely wide enough to fit the posts holding them. One shelf collapsed when I removed an item. Things are going to break. Is this a defect?

- Answer Mine is the same way, bought it 3 weeks ago. I added double sided tape on the ends of the shelves to hold them in much better and it seemed to work and help so far. I tried contacting Insigna and Best Buy both, and just got the run around from both. I was told to return it and get another one, but I could not get a straight answer if a replacement one would be the same way as the one I had or not. I used Gorilla Two Sided Tape.

QuestionWe are having one of these delivered tomorrow. I've read many recent reviews that the shelves don't fit and can fall. I'll probably just send it back if the shelves are too short. But I'm wondering if anyone has received replacements that fit.

- Answer I've had the freezer for over a month. Could the shelves be a little bigger? Yes but I placed them right in the center and I've had no issues. I also have 5 grandchildren in and out freezer several million times a day...lol.

QuestionProblem with shelves. I bought this Freezer last Friday. It is quiet and priced fair too. I emailed Insigna, and they told me to contact Best Buy. Shelves are too short, they will not fit into the side tabs and I'm afraid I will break the shelves.

- Answer My shelves were all in the freezer and packed very well. .I ok off the packing foam and slid them in the groves and have all shelves full. Even have a 15 lb Turkey on one with no issues

QuestionAre the glass shelves too narrow (don't reach the support on both sides fully and tip and fall when one side is too heavy) like some reviews say on all units? Or those who wrote these reviews receive a defective product?

- Answer On this freezer, each of the glass shelves has a piece that actually fits into a groove on the area that holds the shelf. I went and looked and a couple of shelves were not put in place but the items did not topple over because it was fairly evenly distributed. We don’t get into this freezer very much but haven’t had any issues.

QuestionIs the door really hard to open as some reviewers say or are those defective? I want it easy to open. Can you not open it for 30min after opening and closing once?

- Answer Hi CCCC, The reason why it is hard to open because the cooling of the gas causes a reduction in pressure inside the freezer, resulting in a partial vacuum that makes the door more difficult to open. If you want to open it easily, the easiest way is to turn the temperature up inside the freezer by a couple of degrees. This additional heat will expand the air inside somewhat, which should increase the pressure to the point where the door can be opened. - Answer This machine shouldn't be noisy all the time. If it is continuously running, then the temperature may be set too low so that is working to reach the lower temperature. Also if it has been placed near a heat source which will be warmer, it will cause the machine to run more to maintain temperature. Try turning the temperature up a bit.
