can this be laid down to fit in the back of a small suv? null

Hi, Jerry. This unit can definitely be laid down, however, it would need to be left top rest for at least 24 hrs prior to plug it to the electricity, once you install it. Alexander G. - Insignia Support

I picked mine up in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it just fit with the rear bench folded down. Like the other poster said, after it's been laid down you MUST let the freezer stand upright for AT LEAST 24 hours before plugging it in.
