New cat.6, better switches at 1Gig, mesh WiFi if applicable and router and modem should be latest. Bandwidth cannot be controlled but you can keep out the old stuff. No more 10/100 gear and no b/g WiFi.

My PS4 max normally gets anywhere from 50-75 Mbps download and I have AT&T Fiber Optics with a 1000 Mbps connection. The bottleneck is your system and not necessarily your provider. The wired connection is mainly for stability for downloads and online gaming, which you can do comfortably even around 10 Mbps download. The reality is that gaming consoles are not fitted with strong network cards so you probably will not get 100 Mbps, even with this Cat6 cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what your internet speed is in the house. I'm assuming you have at least 100 mbps. We have a 3 year old ASUS router and achieve 80-100 mbps, which is maxed out in terms of what we have incoming to the house.

Your download and-or upload speeds dont have anything to do with your cat6 cable. 100mbps is the MAX possible speed that your particular internet service can run it. you will NEVER get max speed. LOL. Just like if you got 200mbps you would never actually get 200. there are a variety of factors that effect speed including number of users in the same area using the same internet resources at the same time etc
