“The blue display light has begun to remain on (no characters display) after pressing Standby/ON button. The light had been turning off. Should the display light be on when the unit is "off"?”

The light should go off as mine did the first few weeks. Just this week, my light stays on but with NO display. Don't know why this changed all of a sudden. Hopefully Best Buy techs can look into this as many have asked this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should not be on when the unit is turned off. Try pressing the on/off button closer to the left edge. I notice I need to do this now. Also, my unit was on the other day. I heard voices talking and even though I have it on the CD option, I had to turn the unit off. So, something apparently is not right with mine also. It's 1 month or so old and I hardly have used it but my old boombox doesn't play CDs anymore, something wrong with the 'gears'. Good luck!
