I bought this to have as a backup CD player for my car. CD player, radio, cassette all works fine, but the bluetooth has yet to connect. I've had it now for several months, so I've given it ample time to connect to several devices. I didn't return it, because it works for what I need, but test the bluetooth on these and keep your receipt.

I purchased this Insignia AM/FM Radio Portable CD Boombox with Bluetooth because the CD player I bought elsewhere made an audible hissing noise whenever I played CD's. I was given the impression by the salesperson at my local Best Buy that this would be better. While it doesn't hiss as loud as the previous one, I have to warn potential buyers of this boombox that the volume control does not go very low, so if you like to go to sleep with soothing low volume music THIS IS NOT the one to buy. I've tried putting small pillows in front of the speakers but it's still too loud.

This Radio/Boombox is super awesome. It is a BT, AM/FM, Cassete Player, CD player, and even had Aux cord compatibility. How awesome! I bought it for the Drive in theater since it works wireless with some batteries, and I Love It!! It is loud, clean, and works awesome for on the go needs. Invest in this amazing product!

4 stars good cd player although I bought it for the radio, however I only get 2 am stations and 3 fm stations. The lgr stereo it replaced get everything I might want . I just wanted some music when working on crafts.

I got this to use in my classroom. It does what I need it to do and the bluetooth comes in handy. The CD tray is kind of iffy and can easily pop up, so I don't use it often. The cord could be longer, however it can run using batteries. It also has aux input and I usually run the sound to an external speaker. Overall, it's a good bang for the buck, though if you want a better sound quality, you might want to look elsewhere.

Sound is good. Syncs easily. A little pricey for quality.

I'm out in my workshop a good part of the day and all I hear is the noise of my tools. Gotta have some music! Went to Best Buy and got a good deal on this Insignia Portable Radio and CD player. Now it's much more pleasant to have music playin in the background.

I like this boombox. Ive been using this more than my bluetooth speakers. Great sound quality and i just got to use the cassette player. Cant complain.

Decent all around radio, though it needs antenna raised. Cassette plays flawlessly. The cd player sounds great!

Does exactly what I need it to do and I love all the features. I can take it with me and I can play my old purchased tunes that may not be found on Pandora, the phone or other music websites.

I needed an audio cassette player so I could digitize some old tapes into mp3 formats. This boombox worked really well and it’s also portable!

Its very sleek and stylish, the sound quality is superb and lots of bass for those hip hop fans. Also the cd player plays perfectly and even loads semi scratched cds without a problem. The radio works excellent and its worth every penny. You won't be disappointed at all with purchasing this item. The price is unbeatable and it's very well made and sturdy. Perfect for any outdoor event or setting and the battery life is awesome and will last for days depending on your use of it.

It is great. Its hard to find a boom box with a cassette player these days! I have so many mixed tapes and radio songs on tape!

This item has the best sound quality. No need to pair it with another speaker.

I would have preferred to buy a system like this with a remote control but otherwise I like it. The buttons are so hard to push that the unit moves.

Son wanted a Cd player so he could fall asleep With some music

Just when I thought I found a suitable replacement for my Sony CDF-S36 CD Radio Cassette-Corder, was I woefully disappointed. First of all, I was taken aback by the quality of the ‘push’ buttons on the control panel. Some buttons were uneven and others, cock-eyed. Nevertheless, they still seemed to work when I pressed them to startup the ‘Boom’ box. Then I observed an excessive rectangular cut-out for the optical reader, a less than optimal design solution which will probably shorten the life of the CD player as dust and other airborne particles begin to easily accumulate inside the unit. But the most glaring concern, hands down, is the quality of sound or lack thereof! When I turned on the unit for the first time, it seemed as though it was still packed inside the box. The ‘muffled’ resonance is awful. It’s neither crisp nor clear and it also fails to produce the nominal highs and lows that are essential for any music appreciation. My previous boom box had cost $70.00 (in 2001) and had a ‘mega’ bass and ‘mega’ expand sound setting but who would have thought there would have been much of a difference for a unit that is now $10.00 less after 20 years of improved technology? As a discerning audiophile, had I taken the time to listen to the ‘Boom’ box in the store instead of buying it online, it might have stayed there. But if you're still skeptical and find this review overly critical, then, by all means, buy it. However, do yourself a favor. Find a pair of decent computer speakers and plug them into the rear jack for the earphones. Fortunately, I had a pair of older Creative I-Trigue 2300, 18-watt 2.0 computer speakers (which cost me $40.00 in 2007) that I hooked up to the unit and now it sounds almost as good as my old Sony! So, for now, I’ll keep the ‘Boom’ box but if it craps out at any time during my Best Buy two-year protection plan, I’ll gladly return it for an upgrade . . .

Best for what I got it and the price was wow. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for similar product

Power cord wouldn't stay in. Volume buttons and radio station selection buttons hard to push, whole panel would move. Disc buttons uneven, wouldn't work properly. Digital view panel only show partial lettering. Inferior materials used. Won't buy again. Very disappointed that this a product that Best Buy would sell.
