Hello,

The stand is configured to let you plug in your charging cable while the Switch is in the stand, so you can play and charge at the same time. The charging cable is not included.

Yes, absolutely! if the device is charging while you're playing with it and you're using the built-in kickstand, the cord will be in the way. the stand elevates the device high enough that the cord can comfortably snake thru the bottom
