• This adapter goes 1 way. It will convert both sound and video from a display port signal TO HDMI ONLY. As long as thats what youre using it for, this device will work.

• no because a nintendo switch has a HDMI port and not a displayport and also chromebooks or any other laptops cant accept a input from the hdmi port it can only output
