Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.charge time depends on how depleted your battery is... full charge up to 8 hours. Yes, you can charge 1 or 2 controllers. The indicator lights are red for charging, green for charge. I leave my controllers on there all day/night except during use. I should add, if speed of charge is interfering those long gaming sessions, keep a pair of AA batteries around, which can last ~2 weeks or more at 3 hours a day for me... But you can't charge the rechargeable-battery outside of the controller... And don't hook up the controller to charge while it has regular non-rechargeable batteries installed...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure of the initial charge, but i think i played for some time before even plugging them in. Both are in their own part of the cradle so yes, you can have one controller charging while the other controller is not in it.
