My wife wanted me to get a charging station that could hold my controllers instead of leaving them lying around plugged in. Something about it looking bad when guests were over. So, we agreed on this one. It was the best looking charger at the store (according to my wife), even more so than the official Energizer ones. The form factor is pretty small, so you could set it out if you want without it taking much space. It comes with fully charged batteries, so no need to charge out-of-the-box. Also, I thought it might be tricky getting the plug (which is mounted into the base) into the controller, but the design is just about perfect in that the base pretty much guides the controller to the plug. It's actually easier than the cable that I have from my Microsoft Plug and Charge Kit. The LEDs on the front easily show you the current charge for the controller, so no need to guess. Now I have a place to store my controller and charge it. And a happy wife.

My Xbox controls seemed to eat batteries alive within minutes. These rechargeable batteries are super confident. Easy to use and compatible with Xbox One controller and the original controller.

Insignia done did it again!!!! I've actually been waiting for this product to be released by insignia for a while I currently own the Microsoft Xbox chat pad and headset adapter which are connected into the bottom of the controller what makes it a pain when you have the old charging stations that make you remove those adapters from the bottom just a charger controller with this charger station you don't you can leave your adapters in the bottom of the controllers because the controls charge upside down which is great and it can charge official Microsoft branded batteries that you already have so basically when I purchased this I have to free batteries which is great all know like I said great product love it thank you again Best Buy and insignia

This stand has a nice design and does its basic necessity which is charge your controller while holding it in place. I will say it is a little difficult at times to place into charger but not a big deal. What I would say is a slightly bigger deal for me would be that when putting to charge if you are missing the charging port you can be scratching the top part of the controller ever so slightly some ppl wouldn't mind. But I like to keep my stuff in as new contain as possible. Overall looks good

The charging ports are very dainty so you need to be careful not to damage the controller when you put it on the console. But it beats buying batteries. Just let the kids know they need to be gentle with putting it on the charging unit.

Why pay $25.00 for one battery and a standard USB cord when for less then that you can get two batteries with a double charger (and controller mount / holder), if you want plug N play use another cord.

Will not charge controller that came with Xbox

This charger will not charge the controller that came with the Xbox One X....it charges a secondary controller (I purchased as an addon to the Xbox) however not the controller that came with the console itself. Both controllers fit into the Insignia charging stand but it's not like the Insignia charger I bought for my XBox 360. The Insignia charger for my Xbox 360 lights up and tells you when the controller is charging as well as charged. This newer Insignia charging base for the Xbox One X does not light up nor do the controllers easily dock with it. You have to get it just right to connect to the micro-USB port on the Insignia controller. It's weird; the Xbox Controller that came with the console looks like it has a USB-C female port while the Insignia charging base appears to have micro-USB male charging ports. And again, the secondary controller I purchased connects and charges just fine on this Insignia charging base. I'm just disappointed that there are no visual ques to let me know the controller is charging or is fully charged when connected.

Previously owned the energizer Version which was very bulky. The insignia dual charging dock had a nice slim design that doesn't take up a lot of space. Great buy for my game room

You have to properly align the micro USB ports on the controllers with the port on the controller. I worried that my kids are going to ruin the ports. I'm going to return it and going to spend $5 more and buy the PowerA - Dual Controller Charging Station for Xbox One.

So I was looking for a good alternative to the Xbox battery that runs for about $25. I found this which includes two batteries and a charging station. I was able to pop in the batteries and begin playing right away. Placing the controllers on the charger was no issue. There are lights in the front of the charger that turn red to let you know the controller is connected. The controller also vibrates when connected. Overall a great deal!

    Overall, Good Charging Solution

Since I first got my Xbox One in 2014, I have had an Energizer dual charging station. It's one of the ones where the battery has contacts in the back that must touch the contacts on the charging base, and you have to use the controller backplates that have holes for the contacts. Lately, I have to keep taking the controllers on and off and on and off in order to get the contacts lined up for the charger to work. I finally got so frustrated that I decided to get a new solution completely. This Insignia charger comes with two rechargeable batteries that don't have the contacts that the Energizer had. You simply put these batteries into your controller, and then you just use the backplate that came with whatever controller you have. To charge it, you just plug a micro USB into the top of the controller, or you insert them into this charging dock which has two micro USBs facing upward. The batteries hold a charge for a decent amount of time, but the one issue that I have is inserting the controller onto the dock. While using a USB plug is more reliable than the contacts that the Energizer dock had, sometimes it's tough to get the controller into postion. You cannot see if you're lining the micro USB port on the controller with the upward facing plugs. It's getting easier as I do it more, but it is worth pointing out the trouble I had initially. This charging solution works with the Elite controller and standard Xbox One controllers, so if you have both like me, this is a pretty good solution so you don't have to chew through AA batteries anymore.

The Insignia Dual Controller Charger for Xbox One is an acceptable solution for charging up to 2 Xbox One controllers. Unlike other chargers you do not require custom batteries and battery covers or add-on pieces - which is a significant plus if you have an Elite or Custom Controller. Packaged with 2 rechargeable batteries, this is also a good value. The only issue that I have is that you must carefully line up the mini usb port on the top of the controllers meaning that they charge upside down.

I gotta say this insignia charger is great, i used to have the old model of this and this new version is far far supier, it actually has alittle bracket the coltroller sits in now making it easier to push the controllers into place. Its nice and small and stays out of the way and you can charge two of your controllers at once. Also comes with two rechargeable batteries which is a huge bonus. Its a must have...

They do a good job and you cant beat the price since it includes two batteries and the ability to charge both controllers simultaneously. BUT getting the controller onto the stand to charge is a PAIN. They just don't line up with the plugs well. Be patient and careful and you shouldn't have any problems. Just don't jam them on there though.

I like the fact that it's not bulky. A lot cheaper than other brands and does a great job. Have not had issues, very convenient to have. Read other reviews where "it's hard to align into charger", No it's not it's easy to dock the control...You only have to be 2% smarter than the charger. I would defenetly buy this over more expensive brands.
