Can it be used on a 40 inch samsung tv null

I just tried it. It wasn't adequate since it only uses the top two holes AND the Samsung 40" TV has a curved back. The supplied bolts are too short.

You should be able to. It worked perfectly on my new 43-inch LG, which is 38 1/2 inches wide.

This wall-mount works with most TVs compatible with the VESA interface. If your TV is compatible with VESA there should not be any problems to install it. Ruben- Insignia support.
