Huge difference in thickness and quality of build - both in favor of the Samsung product. The Samsung has a resilient screen whereas the Insignia tablet becomes scratched with minor use.

The only real difference I have found between the 2 is the brand and the price. I have used the Tab A before buying this and I don't see that much of a difference that would make me pay more for the Samsung. I LOVE this tablet. Has great battery life, lots of storage space, nice display and great touch responsiveness. Don't waste the extra money for the Samsung name, this tablet is GREAT for $99, I would buy it again for $199
