If your Mid-2010 MacBook has a Mini HDMI port, you can use it. If you don't know, look up the specs at OWC or Macsales.com. If that is too much, what are you doing with a computer, anyway?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't say 100% that this will work for the projector but it worked without any issues connecting my wife's MacBook Pro to a TV using an HDMI cable. So long as the projector has an HDMI port you should be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Get the bellkin , it’s cheaper and it’s better. I bought this and had to return it in three hours. Maybe it works for windows computers, but my MacBook Air? Nope.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know. I bought this for a client who had an older Mac Book Pro that had the mini display port. I bought my Mac Book Pro in 2015 and it also has the mini display port. So, your Mac Book Pro probably has the mini display port. Does the projector have an HDMI port. If so on both of those questions, then, this adapter will work to connect your computer to your projector.
