Use a different source and cable of something that you know works for sure on that tv to rule out the port being damaged, if it does not work still (possibly an older tv?) then you've got a disconnected or broken port, if it does work then check the compatibility or formatting to ensure the signals are being sent properly to that port, if that's all good as well then either simply a bad cable or worse yet a bad port on your sending unit... Then you'll have to submit it to "geek squad" or someone else that can troubleshoot the hardware further.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only other reason why it would not be working is if the Mac didn't have the second display in the displays menu under system preferences, or the correct HDMI input wasn't selected in the TV menu. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm wondering if you used the remote for the TV, not the Cable remote, and press input...& choose on the screen ( you'll see AV, Component, etc.) HDMI 2 or 3 because you are probably running your cable through HDMI 1. The second HDMI cord you have that's connected to the adapter that's connected to computer, should be plugged in the TV in the HDMI 2 plug or the 3..,whichever is open/available. Remember that which ever you plug in -HDMI 2 or 3 make sure on the TV remote after pressing input you choose (on the screen) the corresponding HDMI 2 or 3, whatever you plugged in that was available. Then, you should see what's on your computer screen, on your tv screen. You should be able to control your movie from the computer ( Netflix etc. ). Hope it works for you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The most obvious problem I encounter is not having selected the correct input on the monitor, especially on an HDTV with lots of choices. A lot of them have one called "PC" which is really the VGA input. There may be several HDMI inputs without any helpful labels. The other setting that may need to be tweaked is the "mirror display" option. The clue for me is when the TV recognizes an active input but shows a blank screen. When that happens, you may be able to quickly check by grabbing the top bar of a window and dragging it off either side of the Mac's screen. If the window starts showing up on the TV, going into the system preferences/display menu will take you to the check box for mirroring. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to check the Second Display/External Display settings on the computer, and make sure the TV is set to the correct input for where the cord is connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sometimes you have to turn the TV off then with everything hooked up turn it back on and it should automatically find it. If that doesn't work then you will need to go into the settings menu of the tv and manually select it. Are you running this thru a sound bar? That can also have an effect on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to drag the window from pc to tv screen
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to display settings and make sure your settings are correct
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You probably are not in the right mode on your computer retread directions you may need to go to start search and make sure you are in sequence on computer as specified in directions
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you change the the input on the TV? I have to change it to HDMI3 for it to pick up my computer. The PC function is not it since you are not connecting the computer to the TV with a computer cable.
