I’m not sure. I would’ve liked a universal cord as well. I did not have success in finding one. However when it comes to phones you may be able to wirelessly connect your phone to your TV with Bluetooth. There may be videos on YouTube that show how this could be accomplished.

If you have an iPhone with the Lightning connector then you'd want a Lightning to HDMI cable. For Android phones it is generally going to be some version of USB to HDMI. There are some phones that will have what is called a mini-HDMI port which looks similar to some USB connections. If you have one of those ports you should use it over the USB port.
