My wife and I use the steel thermos cups as well. The ice stays long enough that if we put it at our bedside at night, we wake up to left over ice in the morning.

It’s just like any other ice out of an ice machine. It depends on how insulated your container is. It keeps a drink cold for 24 hrs and still has ice left, in my yeti 32oz cup.
