Q: QuestionMy insignia ice machine won’t stop making ice, what to do?(4 answers)
A: AnswerThere is a power button on the top, press it to turn the machine off. If that fails, unplug the machine. If that fails, leave the house and call a priest.Answered by astone803
- A: AnswerIt plugs into a wall, and you add water by opening the main lid and pouring it in. Just under the ice bucket

- A: AnswerSince the ice maker doesn't keep the ice frozen once the ice is in the tray, when you transfer the ice to a container in the freezer, you need to move physically move the ice around with your fingers or other utensil. It helps if you dump each batch of ice into the freezer and not let the ice sit in the ice maker tray too long. When I use this technique, I don't experience the "blobbing" of ice. Hope this helps.

- A: AnswerAfter the ice is made it will slowly melt if you don’t remove it and put it in the freezer. If the basket of ice gets full, it won’t be able to make more Ice until there is room. I didn’t time how long the ice cubes stay frozen, but I am pretty sure they had minimal melting after a few hours. I haven’t tried leaving them longer than that.

Great machine that saves time!
I picked up this ice maker after casually keeping my eye out for one that had good reviews, and a decent price. I live in an apartment and do not have an ice maker on my fridge, which means I had been filling up ice trays for the last 5 years. I had been always looking for something like this, as it can be tedious doing that every day, and making sure there was ice. It is so much more convenient using this! All you do is add water, and the ice maker does the rest! It has saved me time, and has ensured that if I ever ran out, that I could have ice made in a matter of minutes. Owning this ice machine has been almost a complete win, but do have a few minor cons. The first, is that the machine itself does not keep the ice frozen after it's made, which is kind of an inconvenience. This means, that after the ice is made, you must transfer it to a container or bag in the freezer, otherwise itll just melt back into water. It's not the end of the world, but it is worth noting, since you will have to do some work. The other con is a direct result of the first con in that, once you put ice into the freezer, it tends to stick together, making it difficult to scoop pieces. I have to resort to using a knife to break it back up, which works ok, but ends up sending some ice pieces flying and landing on the ground. This con is the biggest one for me, as I cant just go to my freezer and put some ice in a cup. It's a bit of a process, and a little annoying. With that being said, I am still mostly happy with my purchase, which is mostly why I gave it 5 stars. It has been very reliable, and has not broken down, or stopped working in any way since I purchased it. I simply add water , and it makes the ice without fail. Time will tell if it remains that way, but as of now, I can say that it is very depending, mechanically. With that

Wonderfully soft crunching ice
Very soft ice!!! Wonderful if you like chewing ice, just don’t tell my dentist! Ha! This is the second one I purchased and it is going to my dad for Christmas. He liked the ice more than any other “soft” ice he has ever tried (and he chews a lot of ice). It also makes ice super fast. I purchased both of them on sale and added in the 4 year protection plan. It’s a breeze to make ice in it. I also use my filtered refrigerator water in it.

good ice maker; may need to be replaced.buy ext co
this is my 2nd machine as the 1st one broke after only 4 months...so I've had the 2nd one for almost a year and a half. it's been holding up pretty well, but today just stopped making ice so I'm trying to troubleshoot. my family has enjoyed this machine, it's been a staple in our home... i wanted to share some tips about cleaning...so the back scooper part will get black specks and a beige residue...to get way back there, i got a small squeeze bottle, filled with hot water and a bit of bleach and sprayed hard in that area multiple times...this has gotten that part clean wherein i don't have to use a brush whose bristles may get stuck in there
