• Yes I had a power outage and mine did the same. You have to hold the on button down until the power light comes on. Also before you turn it on push the cube size selector button or it will switch back and forth between the two sizes and make nothing.

• Be careful. It might explode like mine. And best buy really don't care and they will not accept mine back. Try home depot or lowes where they will give you better service.
