I’ve had mine for a month. I don’t find it too difficult. I wipe it down after I’ve made enough cubes, then prop the top open so it can completely air dry. So far, so good.

Clean the ice maker at least once a week or every three days if your water quality is poor. *Caution: Do not use bleach or vinegar to clean the internal components.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So far, it seems to be easy to keep the clean. I use the sink sprayer. Does great. I'd say, in the future, I'll be doing something to prevent mold. This machine is awesome. Drain it, every day, and refill it.
