Put water in up to the fill line. Plug it in. Turn it on. You'll have a glass full of ice very soon.

Hello Nancy, the ice maker works really well. The ice has a nice little crunch to it. You fill the water to the max line place the tray (ice catcher) back in, very light weight the tray that is. I would say the tray weighs about 4oz could be a little off, but I think you get my point. After water is in it gets sucked up to the back and the little ice cubes start becoming ice. Once they are done it drops into the tray . I would say my only issue is it scares the kids at night if they are in the living room. When the house is quite it does make some noises when it’s taking in the water to make new ice and then the obvious fall of the ice when it’s done. Anyone who comes over loves it to. It makes the ice fairly quick as well. I hope this helped you .
