“Hi there. Just bought this insignia ice maker today. I filled it up with water, turned on the machine and it says “add water”. It seems like it’s filling in the intake hose ? Help please !!! I want ice!”

• Turn ice maker off. Add water up to designated “fill” line. Turn machine on.

• This sounds like a trite IT "Help desk" response, but seriously, turn it off and turn it back on again. Then press the buttons to make ice. Somehow once empty of water the controls are not quite smart enough to reset themselves. It's worth a try before taking it back to the store.
